There is an old saying that “no man is an island”. From time to time everybody needs help. This category is dedicated to the groups that have come together to support themselves by offering guidance, a listening ear, and help in attaining common goals. Some support groups help individuals; others work to support a community. Whatever the mission, support groups work to improve the individual, the local area, and the world at large. For 2013, the “Best Support Group in the Poconos” was chosen for those reasons.
