Every year elections come and go and we have to choose the politicians that best serve our community. Sometimes there are good choices and sometimes we simply pick the lesser of two bad choices. Our contest simply wants to know about the good ones. We are proud to announce the top pick for “Best Local Politician in the Poconos” for 2013.
The Pocono Community voted Mario Scavello the Best Local Local Politician in the Poconos
 Mario Scavello was elected to the House of Representatives in April 2002. He represents Monroe County which includes Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg, Pocono Township and Mount Pocono. Prior to being elected to the House, Mario Scavello was the mayor of Mount Pocono and a former chairman of the Monroe County Board of Commissioners. Mario is a member of the House Appropriations. In addition he serves on several committees including Ethics, Finance, Professional Licensure and tourism and Recreational Development. He also volunteers with several community groups.
